Two sergeant police officers serving in the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation have been promoted to Inspectors, in the recently released 2018 promotion examination results.

Decorating the promoted officers with their new ranks, the Auditor-General for the Federation, Mr Anthony Mkpe Ayine, charged them to continue to display gallantry, hard work and professionalism in the discharge of their duties to improve the security of the country.

He also thanked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, and the Police Service Commission (PSC) led by Musiliu Smith, for acknowledging the diligence of the officers by approving their promotion, while urging Nigerians to continue to cooperate with the Force and other military personnel for better service delivery.

In the same vein, the promoted officers, Joseph A. Gwaska and Patrick Obun thanked the IGP and PSC for approving their promotion along with those of their peers after putting in 17years, noting that many who started the journey with them have lost their lives along the way.

They also appreciated the AuGF for his support and for sparing time from his busy schedule to decorate them with their new ranks, promising to continue to uphold the ethical standards of their profession in executing higher responsibilities.

It would be recalled that the IGP had said in the just concluded three-day conference and retreat for Senior Police Officers in Lagos, that the Nigeria Police Force will not relent in rewarding performances of outstanding Police Officers, saying this will serve as a motivation to them.
