The World Bank Financial Management Regional Manager, Mr Renaud Seligmann based in Washington DC visited the Office of the Auditor-General for Federation on Monday, 18 November, 2013. The purpose of the visit was to consider other areas of possible International Development Association (IDA) support to Government that could be executed within the next 2-5 years that would further enhance Public Financial Management (PFM) reform strategy in Nigeria following the closure of the Economic Reform and Governance Project (ERGP).
Responding to Mr Seligmann, the Auditor-General for the Federation, Mr Samuel Ukura thanked the team for the visit and stressed, amongst others, the following areas of possible support for the OAuGF;
- Completion of the LAN/WAN project to cover OAuGF Offices in 28 other states in Nigeria,
- Capacity building in IT Audit,
- Forensic Audit,
- Oil and Gas Audit etc
