The Office of the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) visited the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation (OAuGF) for a 5-day Knowledge Sharing Conference from 19 to 23 August, 2013.
Welcoming the AGSA delegation at a brief opening ceremony on Monday 19 August, 2013, the AuGF expressed OAuGF’s delight to receive the AGSA delegation and thanked the AGSA for their constructive collaboration leading to the visit aimed at sharing knowledge and enhancing Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) Nigeria compliance with International Standard of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) . The leader of the delegation Ms Fezeka Baliso thanked the AuGF for the warm reception and hospitality; and extended AGSA’s warm greetings and collaboration with SAI Nigeria.
The team had high level engagements with the top management of OAuGF for two days and the OAuGF Directorate staff and G40 members for another two days. A recap on the way forward with the top management took place on Friday 23 August, 2013.
The 5-day event produced a Strategic Engagement Framework for collaboration between OAuGF and the AGSA. The frame work focused on people, process and strategy for a transformed SAI Nigeria in consonance with AFROSAI and INTOSAI initiatives.
In the South African team were Corporate Executives Ms Fezeka Baliso, Ms Mabatho Sedikela, Ms Jabulila Nkosi and Mr Obadiah Khwinana. Leading the OAuGF team was the Auditor-General for the Federation, Mr Samuel Ukura accompanied with his directors, Mr. Cornelius Matanmi Adebisi, Mrs. Nikki (Nkeiru) E. Okoligwe, Mrs. Florence N. Anyanwu, Mr. Sunday Adeniyi Soyemi, Mr. Olatunji Saka, Mr. Fred O. Eliminhele, and Mr. Adewale Owolo. Others were Mr. O.A. Ogunrombi, Mr. M.D. Ejiga, and Mrs. F.O Dibiezue-Eke. Mr R. Dada, Mr I. Panni and O. Babalola served as rapporteurs during the period.
